Description

  • The Distance Laser Measuring Module Time Of Flight (TOF) VL53L0X WAVGAT is a sensor module that uses laser light and ST's FlightSense technology to accurately measure the distance of an object in front of it. The sensor emits infrared laser light pulses and measures the time it takes for them to bounce back to the detector. This technology is also known as Time of Flight (TOF) and is commonly used in lidar systems.
  • The sensor has a narrow detection zone, which makes it more accurate than ultrasonic sensors, and it does not measure the quantity of reflected light, which makes it more reliable than infrared sensors. The module can measure distances ranging from 30mm to 1.2m with 5% accuracy and has a resolution of 1mm for distances up to 2m.
  • The accuracy of the module depends on the surrounding environment, the properties of the target object, and the sensor configuration. It is recommended to operate the module at a voltage of 2.8V, but this module can operate at 3.3V or 5V, making it compatible with various development boards, including the Arduino board.
