Buzzer Module KY-012 Active

AED 6.30

Description

The KY-012 Active Buzzer Sensor or buzzer is an electronic device that allows different sounds to be produced either continuously or intermittently, it can be of the same tone, this device can be found on electronic cards, computers, multimeters, etc.

The KY-012 module integrates an active buzzer, it incorporates a simple oscillator so it is only necessary to supply current to the device to emit sound. The difference from an active buzzer to a passive one is that the passive one needs to receive a frequency wave.

How does the buzzer work?

To understand how the KY-012 Active Buzzer Sensor works, you must know how it is built, it consists of two elements, an electromagnet or piezoelectric disk and a metal sheet of steel.

When it is activated, the current passes through the electromagnet coil and produces a variable magnetic field that makes the steel sheet vibrate on the armature, or the current passes through the piezoelectric disk causing it to enter into electrical resonance and producing ultrasound that is amplified. by the steel sheet.

To achieve different sounds you must develop an electronic circuit or program with a microcontroller, this module is compatible with the Arduino board one which will allow you to achieve different tones.
