How to Connect

To enable direct communication between two devices using UART:

  1. Connect the Transmitting UART: The UART at the transmitting end converts parallel data from the CPU into a serial format.
  2. Transmitting Data: The converted serial data is sent to the receiving UART.
  3. Receive and Convert Data: The receiving UART converts the serial data back into parallel format for the receiving device.
  4. Synchronization: Both UARTs need to operate at nearly the same baud rate (within a 10% deviation) to ensure successful data transfer.
  5. Configuration: Set the transmitting and receiving UARTs to handle the same data packages.
