The SIM800C Module is a versatile communication device supporting Quad-band operation across 850/900/1800/1900MHz. It excels in transmitting Voice, SMS, and data with minimal power consumption, making it ideal for various applications.

Working with Arduino Uno:

  1. Tutorial available for Arduino GSM.
  2. Easy connection to Arduino Uno: pin2 to STXD; pin3 to SRXD, and GND to GND. 

Jumper Settings: (A). Pin PKEY, VBAT

  • SHORT = GSM auto-on when power is supplied (default)
  • OPEN = GSM turn-on when long-press on PKEY

(B). SRXD<=>RTXD and STXD<=>RRXD

  • SHORT = Communicate through RS232 Port (default)
  • OPEN = Communicate with MCU/Arduino through pins SRXD, STXD

Additional Information:

  • The module is mainly controlled by AT commands.
  • Connection instructions: 5V, GND, TXD, RDX pins connect to VCC_IN, GND, RDX, TXD pins of SIM800C.
  • Indicator LED behavior signifies module status.
