    This is the water detection sensor used to detect water leakage, water level or rain detection. This is obtain by having a series of parallel wires exposed traces. The sensor traces have a weak pull-up resistor of 1 M Ohms. The resistor will pull the sensor trace value to HIGH until a drop of water shorts the sensor to the grounded trace. Analog output can be read directly to the MCU (like Arduino, Raspberry Pi,AVR, STM, PIC, etc).
